About

Hey there! First and foremost, I am a recent graduate with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. My focus is robotics and/or the aeronautical industry (or robots in the aero industry). I recently gained interest in the state of our oceans, and how companies use engineering to collect plastic and garbage above and below our blue void.

One goal is to create prosthetics and exoskeletons to improve the quality of life in humans and animals. As for space, I aim to participate and witness space exploration within my lifetime.

My lolo (grandpa) and grandma (lola) raised me in the Philippines early in my life, while my parents financially situated themselves in the states. I’ve learned a lot from lolo, a mechanical and coal-mining engineer, and lola, a grade school teacher, on the island of Cebu. From their humble upbringings, they emphasized education above all life goals.

Today, I take my education seriously but with a splash of fun. I’m learning a few languages, i.e. French, and photography which you see on this blog. Most of all, I learned a lot in my dire failures. Not just with courses, but with people and myself as well.

As for the spark that lit up this blog, I inherited my robotics team’s website, and that responsibility convinced me to learn more about WordPress in a lax setting, as well as improving my writing skills. Additionally, I contributed to my robotics team’s Instagram, which photos are duplicated here.

Look out for posts related to engineering, photography, and organizing (is that even a hobby?). Other than that, if I’m not reading or watching anime, I’m probably distracted by an adorable animal.

Thanks for reading & I hope you enjoy my blog!

Lynette

P.S. The tech electives I’ve taken are HVAC and Intermediate Vibrations.

The shop classes I’ve taken are: ENG 111, ENG 112, and ENG 294.
